Thomas Dunn speaking in a leadership conversation

Former CEO. Executive coach.

Change the story,
change the leader.

I’m Thomas Dunn, a former CEO and operator. I coach owners, executives, and rising leaders across South Louisiana through one-to-one coaching, peer groups, and strategic planning. Our beliefs shape our behaviors. You don’t have to do this alone.

Meet Thomas

Experience on both sides of the table.

I became a CEO at 35 and ran a Louisiana healthcare practice. I was good at getting results, but I did it alone and it cost me real connection with my teams.

Today I’m a Vistage Chair and executive coach. I help leaders see the stories running their behavior, make better decisions, and stop carrying the weight alone.

Ways to work

A better conversation.
A clearer next step.

Find your starting point

The work behind the work

Change how you see it.

A new answer often starts with a better question. These are the conversations that make room for different choices.

Our beliefs shape our behaviors

The stories we tell ourselves shape how we lead. When we become aware of them, we can choose a different way to act.

Be curious and stop making assumptions

Ask the next best question instead of filling in the blank. Curiosity uncovers blind spots and makes room for trust.

You don’t have to do this alone

Leadership can feel isolating. A room of peers and an honest coaching conversation help you carry less.

Do what you say you will do

Bring the real issue, not the safe one. End with a clear commitment and return to it next time.

Better Together

It is in giving that we receive. Show up generous with your time, your experience, and the lessons you learned the hard way.

How we work

From the question to the next step.

The conversation is grounded in your real decisions, not a one-size-fits-all formula.

  1. 01

    Start with the real question

What decision is taking up space? We begin with the challenge you actually need to work through.

  2. 02

    Examine the assumptions

Explore the beliefs, habits, and expectations shaping how you see the situation.

  3. 03

    Consider another perspective

Make room for honest feedback, different experiences, and possibilities you haven’t considered.

  4. 04

    Choose your next step

Translate the conversation into a practical decision you can take back to your business.

A question worth sitting with

Change the story, change the leader.

Become aware of the stories running your behavior and the thing you do better than anyone else. From there, choose how you want to lead.
