Name the uncertainty

You may not have all the information you want. Be clear about what you know, what you don’t know, and which assumptions are carrying the most weight.

Separate the decision from the prediction

You can make a thoughtful decision without pretending to know exactly what will happen. Discuss the options, the tradeoffs, and what would cause you to reconsider.

Keep the conversation open

Make space to revisit your thinking as new information arrives. A clear next step and an honest review can be more useful than waiting for perfect certainty.
